Use
Milk thistle is traditionally used in herbal medicine as a hepatoprotective agent.
Recommendations
Adults: Take one capsule 3 times daily with meals or as directed by your healthcare practitioner.
- Take a few hours before or after taking other medications. Take for a minimum of 3 weeks before obtaining beneficial effects.
Caution
- Consult a healthcare practitioner if you have: gallstones, kidney stones, iron deficiency, liver disorders or symptoms or if symptoms persist or worsen.
- Consult a healthcare practitioner if you are pregnant, nursing, or taking nitroglycerin or antibiotics.
- Do not use in case of obstruction of the bile ducts or allergies to plants of the Asteraceae/Compositae/Daisy family.
- Persons sensitive to nicotinic acid may experience diffuse redness of the skin that is usually mild and transient in nature. Hypersensitivity (eg allergy) may occur, in which case discontinue use.
- Consult a healthcare practitioner for use beyond 12 weeks. Reserved for adults.
- Do not use if security seal is missing.
