If soluble fiber from foods such as whole psyllium husks are part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, the risk of heart disease may be reduced.
A serving of whole psyllium husks contains 6 grams of the 7 grams of soluble fiber needed per day to achieve this effect.
Adults: Dilute 1-2 tablespoons daily in at least 350ml of water or fruit juice, shaking vigorously and consume immediately. Make sure to drink plenty of water throughout the day.
Start with small amounts and gradually increase over the weeks.
